TÜV parts certification in the future – no cause for concern!
Recently, we have been asked more and more frequently about the abolition of TÜV parts certificates. In fact, they are not being abolished, but will be issued in a new procedure in the future. Here is a brief overview of everything you need to know about:
- Nothing will change for strength certificates; the change only affects parts certificates.
- Since 20 June 2025, new wheels no longer receive a parts certificate, but a ‘parts type approval’.
- Our existing parts certificates remain valid, so you can continue to register your wheels with them until 19 June 2028.
- Once registered, always registered – wheels that are already registered will not lose their approval even after 19 June 2028.
- All wheels that we will introduce in 2025 will still receive a parts certificate.
